Melissa

Hey there mamas, I'm Melissa! I'm a Tennessee transplant with much of my family roots native to Colorado so it's always been a second home. Planted myself here permanently back in 2014 and met the love of my life (my Tony) to write our love story and start a family! I'm mama to a loving and spunky little 2 year girl named Tatum with little sister on the way coming in hot this February!

I work as a self employed accountant and photographer. I love creative outlets, cooking, baking, spending time with my crazy family, finding passions and adventures and creating what new memories we can squeeze in on the day to day. I have always been an athlete and have so much love for fitness, health and overall wellness. I have a passion for loving and uplifting others.

I teach Stroller Strides, Body Boost and Body Ignite! I found Fit4Mom when I needed to break out of my postpartum introversion, find my body, peace of mind, sense of community and a healthy environment for myself and Tatum (who was roughly 9 months old at the time). I knew not a soul as we just moved to this area and every ounce of my intro to Fit4Mom was foreign and new. This village welcomed me in and game me a sense of comfort, acceptance, patience and encouragement that we are all moms in this together! It took a little while to find my solid place, but consistency paves the way to so much, and now I have a real and authentic "village". I love our community, our moms and all these babies we get to meet and watch grow! I've developed very treasured relationships and my daughter behaves as though she has about 10-15 beloved "aunties" around every time we go to class. Our days are better and my sense of self is much improved in so many ways since becoming a member and instructor of Fit4Mom.

Encouragement for new mom:

Without risk comes no potential reward..it's not easy being a new face in the crowd or being a new mom trying to find your place at all! I can assure you that a difference you'll find with this program vs other fitness outlets is, we've all showed up at some point or another having a first day, not knowing anyone else, feeling nervous, insecure, sleep deprived or looking for improvement somewhere and needing to find it within a community of other like-minded women and mothers. Every single one of us have been you!

Take that risk and come see what rewards can be had when you step out and put yourself first with other women who not only want the same for themselves, but for you as well. Find reward in community, acceptance and uplifting energy that we can all use a little more of in this era of motherhood. I promise I'll be right there cheering you on and happy you came along with other mamas who have started right where you are.
